The entry fee for an open match is £20. Of this £11 is paid out as prize money on the day, £8 is a peg fee and £1 goes into the golden peg pot.

The golden peg is drawn at the end of the match in the café and if the lake winners peg is drawn they claim the golden peg prize. If it is not won then then the prize fund is carried over to the next match. The maximum accrued in the prize fund is £200, when this figure is reached the fund is spit into two £100 prizes and two pegs would be drawn at the end of the match. If both these prizes reach £200 then they would be spit into four prizes of £100 with four pegs being drawn at the end of the match and so on.

In addition there is an optional £2 super pool anglers can pay into and all the funds collected are paid out on a winner takes all basis on each lake.

We also run an optional Matchman series twice a year, one over Winter and one in Summer. Fees are up to £4 per week (see the page dedicated to the series).

The draw for all open matches takes place in the café at 8.45 a.m. prompt. Breakfast is available from 7.00 a.m. until 9.00 a.m. on match days.

During Winter (Greenwich Mean Time) our matches are fished from 10.00 a.m. until 3.00 p.m. and in Summer (British Summer Time) from 10.00 a.m. until 4.00 p.m.

All anglers are asked to stretch their nets out on the bank as soon as they arrive at their pegs (in order to allow UV light to kill any bacteria). A whistle will be sounded twice at 9.45 a.m. to signal it is OK to put keep nets into the water. There will be a single blow of the whistle at 10.00 a.m. to signal the start of the match and a single blow to signal the end of the match.

No floating baits are allowed. The use of any pet food e.g. dog meat or cat meat is banned. The use of pellets for feed, whether they be hard sinking pellet or soft expander pellet is restricted to those supplied by the fishery and you are not permitted to flavour them or add oils. These are available in the café and are £3 per bag. Anglers can used their own or shop bought flavoured pellets on the hook only.
