In the winter of 2018 this lake was netted to remove all of the silver fish and the carp under 4lb in order the remaining carp had room to grow on. It is heavily stocked with carp to 17lb with the majority of fish being over 6lb. This lake is available for pleasure angling every day of the year as no match bookings are taken on this lake.

The large head of carp on this lake feed well on the clean lake bed and respond well to the feeder or the pole fished long or close in, the margins are particularly productive as the day wears on. Meat, Corn, Pellet or Paste all work well and on a sunny day floating baits can be extremely effective, especially for the lakes larger residents.
